We were delighted to attend the AV Awards 2021 last Friday as part of the team shortlisted for the Education Project of the Year that delivered the new £12m Enterprise Hub at the University of Hertfordshire. Although we didn’t take the winner trophy home, Reflex, part of Aura, is still celebrating. After all, being shortlisted for this prestigious award is quite an achievement!
Located on the University’s De Havilland Campus, the multifunctional new building was required to provide office, teaching, meeting and social spaces, as well as collaborative areas. Reflex’s remit included the design and installation of the Hub’s cutting-edge AV system – including solutions for a 120-seat teaching room, which could also be split into four rooms of 30; four small, two medium and two large meeting rooms; and a function room used for presentations and events.

The event was a showcase for the best that our industry has to offer, and the University’s new tech-enabled working environment is a shining example of what is possible. The space not only sets students off on the right foot, and enables hybrid attendance, but helps foster partnerships between business and academia, driving innovation in business,” said Yag Depala, Sales & Marketing Director at Reflex. “We are honoured to have been part of the team, especially having been asked to return to work with the University again, following our first project with them back in 2016. There can be no better compliment!”
